‘Hands all over' from Maroon 5

Maroon 5 is a rock band that has been around for quite some time now. Walking down memory lane, one gets to appreciate just how far the band has come from and where it's headed. The band was initially formed by four high school kids namely; Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. It was not until 2001 that the band made a debut to the big boys' league. This was after the addition of James Valentine to make a total of five members. This is the Maroon 5 that we know today. After enjoying several hits in the past, they have released a new studio album. The Maroon 5 new CD is known as ‘Hands all over'.

The album that helped the band make a name for itself in the industry was the debut album, ‘Songs for Jane'. The Maroon 5 new CD is set to do the same. The Album had been in the pipeline for quite some time. The project began soon after the 2007 tour for their second album. Robert John “Mutt” Lange produced the album. It was released on September 15^th 2010 in most countries and few days later in others. It has a total of twelve tracks that will span for forty minutes and twenty-six seconds. There are seven also bonus tracks that have been included. They mainly include acoustic versions and live performances.

The Maroon 5 new CD has been received fairly well in the market. It was able to make a debut in the Billboard 200 at the second position. Also, ‘Misery' which is a single from this album that was released on 22^nd June performed impressively. It was able to climb to the fourteenth position in the Billboard Hot 100. Despite all these achievements, the sales were somehow disappointing. Only a mere 142,000 copies sold. This was nowhere near their previous album that made a debut at number one with 429,000 copies sold.

The ‘Hands all over' album is said to be an ingenious fusion of rock, pop, funk and R&B. This caters for pretty much everyone across the board. Despite the slow start, the album is set to pick up. Several reviews have indicated that the album is indeed the best creation so far by the band. This will eventually settle in with the fans all over the world. They will soon be singing along to the songs just as they did with the previous albums.
